The Craft of Kumihimo - a Traditional Japanese Art of Braiding

There are varieties of Kumihimo braids. They can be created with many different yarns and ribbons /rattail cord, pre-strung seed beads on long strong threads, hemp cord, and other stringing material as suits. The rattail silky satin cord is an easy way to start, because it doesn’t tangle while braiding. It is available in many different colors and of course it’s not expensive.
